Jürgen Wetzstein is Managing Director of INVERTO GmbH at the Munich location. He studied engineering at the University of Stuttgart and earned his MBA at Pepperdine University in Los Angeles and the University of Hohenheim. He has more than 20 years of experience in management consulting and industry. He primarily advises companies in the automotive, mechanical engineering, chemical, consumer products and services industries on the transformation and optimization of purchasing and the supply chain.

Expertise

In addition to cost optimization in purchasing, Wetzstein focuses on purchasing transformations and operating model design. He has proven his deep purchasing expertise in numerous projects for industrial companies, automotive manufacturers and suppliers, where he has led strategic and operational sourcing improvement programs. Furthermore, he served as interim CPO for a multinational industrial company for two years.

He is also responsible for the Center of Excellence “Indirect Spend” at INVERTO, which deals with the further development of indirect procurement.

He has extensive experience in topics such as:

• Procurement & Cost Reduction Programs
• Procurement transformation and benchmarking
• Operating model design of the procurement function
• Supply chain optimization and network design

Personal

Jürgen Wetzstein is married and a father of two. He likes to spend his time with his family and friends. He also enjoys sports and can be found jogging or snowboarding.
