How do we do it?

Potential analysis

In our potential analysis, we identify what optimization potential can be implemented in your procurement and supply chain management and to what extent your processes can be optimized for a long-term, efficient organization. For this purpose, we analyse relevant procurement goods and processes in your company.

Our benchmarking approach compares the data collected during our analysis to the industry average, best practice or your competitors. In addition, our potential analysis draws on our extensive project experience and our database. We also identify your procurement operations using selected interviews. From this information, we derive realistic potential for improvement within your company and reinforce it with appropriate procurement strategies. Wherever possible, we quantify this improvement potential and prioritise various measures and activities.

Implementation

Implementation is based on the results of our analysis, after the strategies presented in the potential analysis are detailed and developed. Among other measures, standardisation, value analysis, supplier reduction and the implementation of global sourcing concepts are used to implement strategies. The next step is identifying and qualifying suitable suppliers. If your strategic implementation also includes tendering, we carry this out efficiently using our specially designed e-contor software.

If necessary, we can perform negotiations on your behalf to secure the best terms and savings for your company. If organizational adjustments are required for sustainability reasons, we develop a suitable concept for you. We will support you right up to the implementation of your new processes and/or until you have completed the transition to your new suppliers.

In addition to changes to the organization, the result of our projects include contracts with suppliers, which permanently secure your target savings and optimum quality standards.

The energy transition means that energy providers are facing the considerable challenge of completely restructuring themselves and preparing for major changes. In the past, competitive suppliers have announced their withdrawal from business areas that are no longer promising. As a result, a previously oligopolistic procurement market becomes polypolistic, and it no longer comes down to achieving absolute savings; it is more about preventing price increases and, in some cases, even preserving whole supplier markets to secure one’s own operational readiness.
